A statement issued by a group of "bishops, women leaders and young leaders, united by a passion for climate justice, gathered during the Season of Creation 2018 at the Good Shepherd Retreat Centre in Hartebeespoort, South Africa." The participants, from 17 dioceses in 14 African countries, met under the auspices of the Anglican Communion Environmental Network and produced this statement after discussing "Adaptation, Mitigation, and the Witness of the Church in an Era of Climate Change".

The month of March brings with it Women’s World Day of Prayer (known in some countries simply as World Day of Prayer), International Women’s Day and the annual session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Anglican women and men have been taking part in all these events and this newsletter gives a flavour of some of the activities that have been going on to promote the gifts, well-being and equal God-given dignity of women and girls.
