Lambeth Conference resolutions, reflections and calls
The Lambeth Conference has gathered bishops from across the Anglican Communion since 1867. This archive brings together the historic resolutions from 1867 to 1998, the 2008 Lambeth Indaba reflections, and the Lambeth Calls from the 2022 conference, with stable Resource records and direct links to the available documents.
What this archive contains
This archive covers three forms of Lambeth Conference outcome material: the formal historic resolutions from 1867 to 1998, the 2008 Lambeth Indaba reflections, and the Lambeth Calls discussed at the 2022 conference and published in updated editions in 2023. Together they help readers trace how bishops have spoken and reflected across the life of the Anglican Communion.
How conference outcomes changed
Lambeth Conference outcomes have not always used the same format. The conferences through 1998 published resolutions. The 2008 links here are the conference’s Lambeth Indaba reflections, while the principal outcomes of the 2022 conference were the Lambeth Calls. The archive labels each document by its own form rather than describing every item as a resolution.
How to use this archive
Use the grouped links below to open the Resource record for each historic conference year, the 2008 Indaba documents, or a language edition of the 2022 Lambeth Calls. Each downloadable Resource links to the corresponding PDF in the Resources library.
The archive is organised as this browsing hub plus a dedicated Resources collection containing only Lambeth Conference resolutions, reflections and calls.
Lambeth Conference records from 1867 to 2022
The Lambeth Conference has met across more than a century of Anglican history. Its resolutions are often used by researchers, bishops, provinces, commissions, and ecumenical partners who need to trace how the Communion has spoken at particular points in time.
The restored archive covers the available historic resolution records for 1867, 1878, 1888, 1897, 1908, 1920, 1930, 1948, 1958, 1968, 1978, 1988, and 1998, together with the available 2008 and 2022 outcome documents.
Stable Resource records make the historic resolutions easier to browse, cite, and preserve.
Each link opens the matching Resource record and available document. This keeps the archive easy to navigate while preserving the Resources library as the file and metadata layer.
