International Anglican Family Network (IAFN)

The International Anglican Family Network (IAFN) works across the global Anglican Communion to celebrate and uphold the family unit. Its mission is to highlight the God-given potential of the family as a primary source of thriving relationships, personal identity, belonging, discipleship, and reconciliation. From this position of celebration, IAFN takes on an important advocacy role, speaking out in the face of behaviours and societal pressures that diminish the potential of the family. The network actively shares stories of hope from around the Communion, showcasing how local churches are ministering to families in creative and effective ways.

A key function of IAFN is the promotion of practical family care and the sustaining of the family as the “cradle for human dignity.” This involves addressing significant challenges such as family life in conflict zones and promoting initiatives like Universal Birth Registration to ensure every child has a legal identity. Through its newsletters and resources, IAFN provides a platform for collaboration and information sharing, highlighting practical responses that strengthen family life. It aims to support and inspire all those engaged in family ministry, reinforcing the family’s foundational role in the health of both the Church and society.
