About Us
The Anglican Communion Youth Network (ACYN), launched in August 2022, is a platform which works to promote and support the ministry of young people and youth workers within the Anglican Communion.
Churches within the Anglican Communion provinces are grouped into seven regions; Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Middle East & South Asia and the Pacific.
Those serving in these regions are grouped into five mission committess which focus upon a specific Mark of Mission. These include:
- First Mark of Mission – To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom – Focusing on evangelism
- Second Mark of Mission – To teach, baptise and nurture new believers – Focusing on discipleship and capacity building (including Christian leadership formation), education and training.
- Third Mark of Mission – To respond to human need by loving service – focus on outreach to the needy, community engagement, disaster preparedness and response and sustainable livelihoods.
- Fourth Mark of Mission – To transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation – Focusing on social justice issues and inclusivity.
- Fifth Mark of Mission – To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth – Focusing on the environmental care, sustainability and renewal.
In addition, finance and communications/logistics committees exist to facilitate the work of the network.
