What is World Environment Day?

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th. It’s designated by the United Nations to encourage worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment. Held since 1973, it is the largest global platform for environmental public outreach, engaging millions of people across the world to address issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.

What is the Online Prayer Gathering about?

Join this online prayer gathering as we share prayers of lament and hope and consider what it means to care for God’s creation. The meeting will combine inspiring scripture, meditation, music and prayer, with the opportunity to pray with other Anglicans from around the world. The meeting is being facilitated by the Anglican Peace and Justice Network, and the Anglican Communion Environmental Network.

  2. Amal Sarah, from the ‘Renew Creation Project’, in Pakistan
