In March 2007, nearly 400 members of the worldwide Anglican Communion gathered in South Africa for the ‘Towards Effective Anglican Mission’ conference. The event focused on prophetic witness, social development, and addressing issues such as HIV and AIDS. Participants included a diverse group from across the Anglican Communion, aiming to explore and rearticulate the mission of the Church in addressing global poverty and injustice.
