The Third Anglican-Lutheran International Commission (ALIC) convened in Chennai, India, from April 28 to May 5, 2008. Co-chaired by the Most Reverend Fred Hiltz and Reverend Dr. Cameron Harder, the meeting focused on the visible unity of the Anglican and Lutheran communions, their ecclesiologies, and the role of diakonia in church mission. The event was hosted by The Lutheran World Federation in collaboration with the United Evangelical Lutheran Church in India.
