The Commission for Theological Education in the Anglican Communion (CTEAC)
The Commission for Theological Education in the Anglican Communion (CTEAC) supports theological formation around the world. It enhances networking across seminaries and churches, facilitates meetings and develops online resources.
The commission aims to bridge geographical divides and resource disparities, creating a dynamic “network of networks” where best practices, curricular resources, and theological insights are shared freely. By connecting educators and institutions, the commission enriches works to support people in ordination, engage people in theology and equip God’s people for discipleship and mission in a rapidly evolving world.

Our Strategic Focus
Connecting Educators to Equip the Church
The Commission operate as a central hub for pedagogical innovation and peer-to-peer support.
The commission works to be decentralised and collaborative, facilitating high-level regional consultations and workshops that amplify voices from across the Communion, particularly the Global South.
Seminaries and training programmes are invited to formally join the Commission’s global network, gaining direct access to a recognised platform for collaboration and validation.
Intentional Discipleship
Moving beyond membership to active spiritual formation, providing curriculums that train clergy and laity to be effective disciple-makers..
Reconciliation
Framing reconciliation as a fundamental Christian vocation, training leaders to navigate complex social fractures and act as peacemakers.
Science and Faith
Equipping theologians to engage confidently with scientific developments, moving the Church from a posture of suspicion to one of informed collaboration.
Slavery to Freedom
Addressing historical legacies and modern justice, aligning theological education with the Communion’s commitment to human dignity and liberation.
Safe Church Resources
Embedding safeguarding protocols into the DNA of theological training, ensuring no ordinand enters ministry without a grounding in creating safe communities
