Archbishop Justin Welby (President)

Justin Welby ACC SC 2020 80x80Justin Welby is the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, Metropolitan of the Province of Canterbury and Primate of All England, offices he has held since early 2013. He is also a Focus for Unity for the three Instruments of Communion of the Anglican Communion, and is therefore a unique focus for Anglican unity. He calls the once-a-decade Lambeth Conference, chairs the meeting of Primates, and is President of the Anglican Consultative Council.

 

Archbishop Paul Kwong (Chair)

Paul Kwong ACC SC 2020 80x80The Most Revd Dr Paul Kwong is the Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and Bishop of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island. He was elected and consecrated Bishop of the Diocese of Hong Kong Island on 30 December 2005. He was elected the Archbishop of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui on 3 February 2007 and was elected to Chair the ACC at ACC-16 in Lusaka in April 2016.

 

Canon Margaret Swinson (Vice-Chair)

Margaret Swinson ACC SC 2020 80x80Canon Margaret Swinson is a lay canon of England’s Liverpool Cathedral, charted accountant and company secretary in private practice and was elected as vice-chair of the ACC in 2016 and is therefore Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee.

Archbishop Humphrey Peters (Elected by the Primates)

Archbishop Philip Richardson (Elected by the Primates)

Archbishop Julio Murray Thompson (Elected by the Primates)

Bishop Jane Alexander (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Jane Alexander ACC SC 2020 80x80The Right Revd Jane Alexander, Bishop of the Diocese of Edmonton in the Anglican Church of Canada.

 

Mr Alistair Dinnie (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Alistair DinnieMr Alistair Dinnie, of the Scottish Episcopal Church. A member of St John’s Church in Princes Street, Edinburgh, Mr Dinnie was a lead participant in the Scottish Episcopal Church’s “Cascade Conversations” on human sexuality. He works for NGOs in fields of HIV/Aids and the resettlement of offenders.

 

Mrs Joyce Haji Liundi (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Joyce Haji Liundi ACC SC 2020 80x80Mrs Joyce Haji Liundi, a lay representative of the Anglican Church of Tanzania, was elected at ACC-17.

 

Ms Basetsana Makena (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Mr Jeroham Melendez (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Jeroham Melendez ACC SC 2020 80x80Mr Jeroham Melendez, from the Anglican Church of the Region of Central America, is the communications officer for the diocese of Costa Rica.

 

Bishop Joel Waweru Mwangi (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Joel WaweruThe Right Revd Joel Waweru is Bishop of Nairobi in the Anglican Church of Kenya. He has experience of international Anglican agencies, having previously worked as assistant general secretary and then general secretary Church Army Africa.

 

Bishop Hosam Naoum (Elected by the Anglican Consultative Council)

Hosam Naoum ACC SC 2020 80x80The Right Revd Hosam Naoum is Co-adjutor Bishopr of Jerusalem in the Episcopal Church of Jerusalem and the Middle East. He was elected at ACC-17.
