Section M: Expression of Thanks

161. The Lambeth Conference thanks God for the ministry of so many whose dedication and service have enabled the Conference to do the work of the Church:

• For our host the Most Revd and Rt Hon Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury; for his confident proclamation of the Word; his love, vision and scholarship and for Dr Jane Williams for her welcome, hospitality and leadership of the Spouses’ Meeting. 
• For the generous welcome and friendship displayed by all those involved in the Hospitality Programme in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland prior to the Conference.
• For the Chaplaincy Team who have supported us in prayer before and throughout the Conference.
• For the Worship Team and musicians and all others involved with the services here on campus.
• For the Bible Study Team and Leaders who have led us in studying the Gospel of St John.
• For the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Canterbury for their welcome and hospitality throughout the Conference.
• For the animateurs and rapporteurs of the Indaba Groups who have facilitated the work of the Conference.
• For the Reflections Team who have brought together the work of the Indaba Groups.
• For the plenary speakers, and those who spoke, led or facilitated the Self Select Sessions.
• For the Stewards who have willingly assisted us in every aspect of the Conference.
• For the Translators who have played such an important role in helping us to listen to each other.
• For the people who have staffed the Conference, from the Anglican Communion Office, Lambeth Palace and Volunteers from around the Anglican Communion.
• For the Volunteers from the Diocese of Canterbury who have assisted us in so many ways.
• For the Communications Team who have helped us send our messages to the world.
• For the Spouses Implementation Group.
• For the Lambeth Conference Design Group and the Team of staff who have worked with them

Conclusion

The Reflections Group offers this narrative to the Conference, believing that the same God who calls us together into communion through his Son Jesus Christ and who has begun this good work in us will bring it to completion in the power of the Holy Spirit.
