The Reconciling of Conflicts Between and Within Nations - The United Nations

The Conference affirms the need for strengthening the United Nations and to this end:

  1. urges that serious consideration be given to the revision of its Charter, the more effective use of, and respect for, the existing processes of international justice, and to the creation of adequate means for enforcing its decisions;
  2. commends wholeheartedly the work done under the aegis of the United Nations, whereby the skills and resources of member nations are made available for the benefit of the whole of humanity;
  3. recommends that all Church people be asked to pray for God's blessing upon the officers and declared purposes of the United Nations;
  4. urges that all Church people be asked to encourage community study regarding the constitution, the plans, and the needs of the United Nations.
