With this statement the Anglican Church of Tanzania opened its Mission and Evangelism Consultation in Mtumba Women's Training Centre in Dodoma.

This was the central affirmation of the first-ever Consultation of Co-ordinators of Mission and Evangelism within the Anglican Communion meeting in Nairobi, Kenya from 6-13 May.

MISSIO was appointed by the ACC-9 at its meeting in Cape Town in 1993
