An authorised Network of the Anglican Communion connects Anglicans globally and creates a cluster of energy around a particular area of mission, ministry and concern. In so doing, the Network contributes to the unity, life and witness of the Anglican Communion.

The Anglican Inter Faith Commission was requested by the Primates at their meeting in Canterbury 2016, then presented to the Anglican Consultative Council in 2016 in Lusaka (resolution 16.10) and launched at the Primates Meeting in Canterbury in October 2017.

The meeting of Anglican Primates, the senior bishops of the Anglican Provinces, took place in Canterbury between Monday 2 October and Friday 6 October at the invitation of the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury. 

I bring you greetings from the wider Anglican Communion; and they are real greetings in the Spirit-- warm and heartfelt. You – the Church of England – can never be just one of the 38 provincial churches of the Anglican Communion. As the very word ‘anglicana’ implies, there is a living tradition of faith in the Gospel as this church has received it, from the missionary work of St Augustine of Canterbury 1,420 years ago, to the particular experience of renewal in the English Reformation and beyond.

The International Reformed-Anglican Dialogue (IRAD) between the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) and the Anglican Communion met for its second meeting, at Clare College, Cambridge, England, 2 to 8 September 2016. The Co-Chairs are the Revd Elizabeth Welch (Reformed) and the Most Revd David Chillingworth (Anglican).

Daily Programme for ACC-16

The meeting of Anglican Primates, the senior bishops of the 38 Anglican Provinces, joined by the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of North America, took place in Canterbury between Monday 11 January and Friday 15 January at the invitation of Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury. The first morning was spent in prayer and fasting.

We, as Anglican Primates, affirm together that the Church of Jesus Christ lives to bear witness to the transforming love of God in the power of the Spirit throughout the world.
