The International Anglican Liturgical Consultation met August 3-8 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Auckland, in the Anglican Church of Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia.

The Anglican Communion, through the Bishops at Lambeth in 1998, the Primates at Dromantine in 2004 and various statements by the former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, has in various ways made it clear that

The Report focuses on the nature of Communion, and how unity can be sustained during times of intense disagreement. It demonstrates the foundations of Anglican identity – attention to the Bible, the vocation towards holiness, respect for local cultures, the gifts of discernment and diversity, and the development of appropriate competencies to articulate the mind of the Church.

The chair, Paul Bradshaw, welcomed members of the Consultation and they identified themselves by name and place. The meeting discussed arrangements affecting the process of the event, including provision of an opportunity for members to discuss Communion issues during an off-agenda session. 

The 11th ACC meeting in 1999, Dundee in Scotland, established the Inter-Anglican Standing Commission on Mission and Evangelism (IASCOME)
