The 65th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) in March 2021 will consider women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life , as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls. It will also review a previous CSW theme on women’s empowerment and the link to sustainable development.
December 2020:
The United Nations' General Assembly met in special session at the beginning of December 2020 to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic. The Anglican Communion Office at the United Nations released a statement to the meeting on behalf of the Anglican Consultative Council.
February 2020
The United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD) held its 58th session from 10 to 19 February 2020 with the priority theme of “Affordable housing and social protection systems for all to address homelessness”. This report details the involvement of ACOUN's at this session and summarises the main outcomes.

A joint submission by the Anglican Consultative Council and the Mothers’ Union to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, following a call for submissions by the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, Ms Dubravka Šimonović, on the increase of domestic violence during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Anglican Communion Office at the United Nations is delighted to share a report of our delegation's attendance at the 63rd UNCSW, held in New York in March 2019. The report is a snapshot of Anglican engagement at the 63rd Session of the UNCSW, including reflections from the delegates themselves and examples of the various opportunities they had to share their own experiences throughout the two weeks, with support from the ACOUN staff.
In it, you will find testimonies from this year’s delegates, stories about how they advocated on topics of concern, and how they are taking their experiences at the UNCSW back to their home provinces.
