IASCUFO’s Predecessor Bodies

When it was formed in 2009 IASCUFO took over from three previous bodies:

The Windsor Report was published in 2004. It was the result of an intense series of discussions about unity and division in the Anglican Communion prompted most immediately by controversies over issues of human sexuality;

The Inter-Anglican Theological and Doctrinal Commission was a longstanding commission of the Communion. Its third phase lasted from 2001-2008 and its final report Communion, Conflict and Hope was published that year. This and other reports of IATDC are available in a Compendium of the Commission’s work.

The Inter-Anglican Standing Commission on Ecumenical Relations was established after the Lambeth Conference 1998 and worked until the Lambeth Conference 2008 and the formation of IASCUFO.
