[L'Eglise Episcopal au Rwanda - Rwanda]  Kigali City – World religious leaders are arriving in the country on 19 September for a three day visit. The aim of their visit is to comfort Rwandans following what befell the nation during the 1994 mayhem.

This was revealed on August 28, by Archbishop Emmanuel Kolini while addressing a team of church planners charged with community activities at the Anglican Church headquarters in Remera

“Twenty five Anglican Archbishops from Africa, Latin America and Asia will touch down at Kanombe Airport 19 September. They want to console Rwandans because what happened in 1994,” Kolini said.

He noted that the church leaders were inspired by the prevailing peace and that they intend to learn the strategy which the nation used to attain total peace.

“I would like to tell you that Rwanda is loved and blessed, so that’s why the world puts its attention here,” the prelate said, adding that the tremendous achievements which Rwanda made have attracted the whole globe.

He told the gathering that the church leaders would be flanked by education and development experts from their nations of origin to enable them solicit ideas for helping their nations and churches attain holistic development.

“Rwanda has become a model of peace, good governance and evangelization. The global church intends to borrow a leaf from Rwanda,” Pastor. Emmanuel Gatera, the Provincial Secretary for the Anglican church of Rwanda told the journalists after the impromptu meeting.
