Global Churches Bless the Tree of Hope

[L'Eglise Episcopal au Rwanda - Rwanda] A delegation of the World Council of Churches, led by the Primate of the Anglican Church of Kenya, His Grace Benjamini Nzimbi, visited a Rwandan genocide site on April 19th at Bugesera in the southern part of Rwanda.

The members of WCC, together with Archbishop Kolini of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, blessed the Black-tree which was planted mid 2004 by the survivors of Rwandan genocide together with the released prisoners accused of massacring the victim's parents and relatives.

The tree planted aimed at opening gates of hope and love among the Rwandans, after the 1994 genocide which caused the death of over a million innocent Rwandans.
