COM Appoints Communications Officer

[Melanesian Messenger - Melanesia] The church of Melanesia has a new Communications Officer. He is Mr. Rolland Gito who took up his appointment on August 2006.

Mr. Gito 35 is a former broadcaster with Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation from 1993 to 2004. In year 2000 he was appointed supervisor of SIBC's regional station; Radio Hapi Lagun in the Western province.

In 2004 he joined Solomon Islands Planned Parenthood Association where he worked for two and half years as Information and Communications officer. He relinquished that post to become the church's Communication Officer in August 2006.
