New Leadership for Sisters of Melanesia

[Melanesian Messenger - Melanesia] The Community of the Sisters of Melanesia in March elected Sr. Grace Delight as their Head Sister to lead the Community in the next four years and Sr. Suzzie Lisaghita as her Assistant.

The election took place at the Sisters headquarters at Veranaso, on Guadalcanal, presided over by the Senior Bishop of Melanesia and Bishop of Malaita, the Rt. Rev'd Terry Brown.

The Community of the Sisters of Melanesia is an indigenous religious order for women founded in 1980 and this year will be marking the 25th anniversary after their formation.

Currently the Community has more than a hundred professed Sisters and Novices serving in various households.
