| DOVNC Bishop commence tour this weekend |

[Melanesian Messenger - Melanesia] Bishop James Ligo of the Diocese of Vanuatu and New Caledonia will on Saturday this weekend start a 10 day Episcopal tour of his diocese.
On this tour he will cover only the main centres of Pentecost, Maewo and Ambae where he looks forward to will pray and share together with his people.
The Bishop among others, will perform sacrament of confirmation, ordain new deacons and priests and consecrate new church buildings.
He will also launch a new region of Maewo as well as commission the newly completed water project at Torgil Rural Traning Centre on east Ambae.
Bishop Ligo will be accompanied by his wife Patricia, and his diocesan worker at Luganville.
Members of the Religious Orders in Solomon Islands will also for the first time be part of the Bishops delegation.
The tour ends on June 29, 2009.
Meanwhile Bishop Nathan Tome of the Diocese of Banks and Torres is also preparing for his tour scheduled to run for two weeks in the month of July.
The Bishops will be using the Church flagship Southern Cross for the tour.
