Eucharisteo – Youth Put God at Centre

[Diocese of Mauritius - Indian Ocean] Eucharisteo, an annual celebration organized by the DYC (Diocesan Youth Committee) was held on Saturday 8 October at St Pierre Church in Cassis.

They were quite a good number, the youth of the Mauritian Anglican Diocese, to be present at this activity. They came from various parishes.

This celebration took place in the presence of the Ven James Wong, archdeacon of the Diocese. The aim of this activity was to give thanks to the Lord for the school year and to commit into His hands the preparations for the exams.

Kevin David, Youth Worker, wanted to create, through this celebration, the awareness that the youth ‘should put God in the center of their activities’. Songs, music, scripture readings and message were the items on the programme of this Eucharisteo 2005.

The celebration was chaired by the Rev James Seerunghum, DYC coordinator, assisted by the Rev Liva Andriantsimba.
