Pastoral Letter for Lent 2005

[Diocese of Mauritius - Indian Ocean] Right Reverend Ian Ernest, our Bishop, released his pastoral letter, mid-February in the context of Lent 2005.

The main aim of this Pastoral letter of 4 chapters, Bishop Ian said, was to “make people aware of a need of transformation of the heart and the mind”.

Through this document, the Bishop wanted to create the awareness that life is only worth living through God. Copies of the Pastoral letter were given to all press people of the country and distributed to all parishioners. Some issues raised in this pastoral letter were reproduced in the press.
