[Diocese of Mauritius - Indian Ocean] To
The Bishop of Peshawar
The people and the clergy of
the Anglican Diocese of Peshawar

Dear Bishop Humphrey

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It is with deep sadnees in my heart that I present to the Anglican community in Pakistan through you my heartfelt condolences as you mourn our brothers and sisters who lost their lives during the unreasonable terrorist attack on All Saint's Church.

The Anglican Church of the Indian Ocean wish to assure you of our prayerful support and of our deepest affection at this time of sorrow and trial. We are thankful to The Lord for your witness as your people have called for forgiveness in spite of the loss of dear ones. As we uphold you in our thoughts, we hope that justice and peace will kiss each other in God's time.

Here in the diocese of Mauritius, we remember the visit of your predecessor, Bishop Mano Ramulshah who informed us of the harsh realities that Christians live through in your country. So, we share in your grief and we know that the Good shepherd cares and that "if you have to go through the valley of death, you will fear none ill."

With our deepest affection in Christ

The Most Reverend Ian Ernest
Archbishop of the Anglican Church of the Indian Ocean
Bishop of Mauritius
