[Diocese of Mauritius - Indian Ocean] Communiqué de Presse
Solidarity Actions and Memorial Service by the Anglican Diocese of Mauritius
The Anglican Diocese of Mauritius wishes to extend its profound sympathy to the victims and the bereaved families affected by the floods that have hit our island.
In the wake of expressing our solidarity, the diocese has established through its social arm “Anglicare” actions that would help to relieve people from the material and psychological distress they are going through.
Teams for pastoral care are being sent to the places of sinister and for the relief of material needs appropriate actions have been taken.
A special memorial service will be held at St James Cathedral, Poudrière St, Port Louis on Saturday the 6th April 2013 at 3p.m.
All those affected by this tragic event and the public in general are most welcomed to attend.
