News from the Peace and Justice Committee
The Peace and Justice Committee of NSKK (Japanís Anglican/Episcopal Church) met on October 14 for the first time since the General Synod of NSKK in last May.

[The Nippon Sei Ko Kai - Japan] The Peace and Justice Committee of NSKK (Japanís Anglican/Episcopal Church) met on October 14 for the first time since the General Synod of NSKK in last May.

The committee is composed of 7 members and the meeting was chaired by Bishop David Shoji Tani of the Okinawan Diocese.

The members talked about the problems of peace and justice we are facing in Japan which are closely connected with the evangelism and mission of NSKK.

They decided to continue the following projects as part of the mission of the committee:
Gender Project / Project for the Cooperation between Japan and Korea / Japanese Constitution Project / Okinawa Project

Besides, the committee decided to cover the following problems with persons in charge:
Global Environment, Poverty and Starvation / Immigrant Workers / Abolition of Death Penalty / Imperial System, Yasukuni Shrine and Fundamental Law of Education / Various Statements
