[EAB Press - Burundi] The Province began the distribution of the mosquito nets provided by ERD (Episcopal Relief and Development) during November.
The first recipients were in the area of Nyanza Lac, in the diocese of Makamba, where the prevalence of malaria is high due to its proximity to the lake.
The diocesan HIV coordinator also received a motorcycle that will enable her to monitor the use of the nets. The programme of education prior to distribution of nets continues in the dioceses of Buye and Muyinga.
