[EAB Press - Burundi] Barbara Lawes, Naomi Herbert, and Jeninah Nasymolo visited all the dioceses during their visit to evaluate the implementation of the literacy and development programme in Matana and Gitega dioceses and provide training for literacy trainers.
Commenting on the programme’s impact, Archbishop Bernard said, “MULDP in Burundi has shown that literacy is the catalyst for social change. It builds strong communities that are contributing to the continued peace and reconciliation in society…the programme provides a space to debate and dialogue. It also strengthens our solidarity.”
