[EAB Press - Burundi] The situation has improved a little in the northern provinces affected by drought.
Rain has fallen enabling people to sow seeds. Emergency relief is still required in the region.
Buye diocese, supported by grants from ERD and the Anglican Church of Canada, and Christian Aid, took a total of 78 tons of bean seeds to two communes for a total of 6700 families.
The diocese has also worked with World Relief to distribute rice and beans in two communes as part of a seed protection programme.
