Congratulations to Bishop Ntahoturi

[EAB Press - Burundi] We extend our congratulations to Bishop Bernard Ntahoturi on his election to the presidency of the National Council of Churches in Burundi (CNEB).

He will assume office from the beginning of October for a 5-year term, and take over from Bishop John Nduwayo who has lead the Council for the last 10 years.

The National Council has recently participated in a civil society initiative for peace that is trying to encourage the government towards positive negotiations for a peaceful and constructive end to the transitional period.
