Transition - Former Capa Treasurer Canon Joel Buku, 1926-2005

[CAPA - Africa] Lay Canon Joel Buku, who served as the CAPA Treasurer in early 90’s, has passed on.

“Lay Canon Joel Buku was the greatest and most dedicated lay civil servant the Church has ever known”, were the words used to describe him by Anglican Church of Kenya (Rtd) Archbishop Dr. David Gitari during his farewell service.

Canon Buku served the Anglican Church and other Church related organizations for 51 years from January 1949 to March 2000. He was laid to rest at his rural home parish on 2nd July 2004. May God rest his soul in peace.
