[CAPA - Kenya] A Global South Primates meeting took place in Nairobi on Thursday, April 15.

Though the Primates did not issue a statement immediately after the meeting, sources said the discussions centred on strengthening the position of the global south church within the communion.

Global South spokesman, The Most Revd Peter Akinola, said a full statement on the deliberations and resolutions would be issued soon.

In addition to CAPA Primates and their representatives, the Global South meeting was attended by Archbishop Drexel Gomez of West Indies, Archbishop Greg Venables of Southern Cone, Archbishop Young Ping Chung of South East Asia and Bishop John Chew of Singapore.
