New Malagasy Liturgy Published
December 16, 2005

[Diocese of Antsiranana - Indian Ocean] The Diocese of Antsiranana has introduced to its parishes the Provincial liturgy in the Malagasy language.

Most churches are now experimenting with the LITORJIA FOMBA FAHAROA, as it is known in Malagasy. This is resulting in a greater understanding of liturgies in use in the Anglican Communion.

The latest Malagasy language liturgy was published in September 2005. The bishop of the diocese, the Right Rev Roger F.H. Chung Po Chuen, presented Archbishop Rowan Williams of Canterbury with a copy at the recent South-to-South meeting in Egypt.
