Province's Supporters Meet in London

ANTSIRANANA 050718-1
July 18, 2005

[Diocese of Antsiranana - Indian Ocean] The Province of the Indian Ocean Support Association (PIOSA) met in London last month for its annual general meeting.

Mary Sherwood, a missionary from Canada working in Madagascar, gave an enthusiastic report of her work with orphans in the suburbs of Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar. She is now planning to retire after long years of service in the vast island, the fourth largest island in the world.

Among others who attended the meeting were the Rev. Canon Hall Speers, chairperson of PIOSA, the Rev. Oliver Simon, secretary, and the Rt. Revd. Roger F.H. Chung Po Chuen, Bishop of Antsiranana Diocese.

The meeting took place at Partnership House under the auspices of the USPG. Bishop Chung also met officials of the USPG on his visit.
