St Michael's Church Extension Work In Ambilobe

[Diocese of Antsiranana - Indian Ocean] Work on the extension to St Michael's Church, Ambilobe, has reached the level of the windows.

"We praise the Lord for the masonry work... [but] we are still in need of 3000 pounds to keep going and finish the extension work," said the Rt. Revd. Roger F.H. Chung Po Chuen, Bishop of Antsiranana Diocese. "Please pray that we will meet all the expenses," he added.

Four priests and four deacons are due to be ordained in the completed church on September 4, 2005.

Bishop Chung said a memorial plaque for Bishop Keith Benzies, offered by the Hull support group, would be fixed in the church when it was inaugurated, "hopefully" on September 4.
