ANTSIRANANA 100821-1
August 21, 2010

[Diocese of Antsiranana - Indian Ocean] As mentioned to you at the last Clergy meeting held on Friday the 13th of August 2010, I call on you to invite the members of your congregation to pray for the All Africa Bishops Conference which is to be held next week as from the 23rd to the 29th of August 2010, in Entebbe , Uganda .

This Continental Event which will be placed under my chairmanship is welcoming more than 360 Bishops from the various dioceses in Africa . The Archbishop of Canterbury has accepted my invitation to be present and will be preaching at the opening service on Tuesday the 23rd of August.

The theme for this conference is “Securing our Future: Unlocking our Potential”

(Heb 12 v 1,2)

This conference will focus on examining the realities that are threatening our future and how the church in obedience to Christ who came to give hope and fullness of life can appropriately respond to these threats.

May I therefore request you to uphold in prayer during this week so that this conference marks a turning point in the way of the Anglican Church lives out her calling in this continent.
