St Georges feast celebrated in St Matthew's Cathedral with the Anglican Scouts and Girls Guides renewal of commitment to the movement.

[Diocese of Antsiranana - Indian Ocean] The woman priest ,Rev Marie Jeanne Befeno celebrated the Eucharist as we feasted St Georges day in St Matthew Cathedral with the Bishop Roger Chung Jaomalaza and the Dean John Lehibe present. The boys Scouts and girl Guides were were immaculate in their uniforms for the big event . The St Georges flag was lifted up by the different leaders of the various age groups during the service. The youth of the Kilasimandry boys hostel of Antsiranana were leading the service and prepared special songs for the event. A youth team from Scripture Union also attended the service on that Sunday and the S U director presented a Champions cup to the Youth Team of the Cathedral who won the inter church basket ball tournament. Another high moment during the service was the fawell talk of Angelo the University Christian Union President who is from Toamasina and studied at the University of Antsiranana. Jaozandry the Kilasimandry gifted musician also played his accordion which he received as he won the first prize in a music competition.
Before the end of the Service, Bishop Roger Chung Jaomalaza prayed for peace during this political crisis that Madagascar is struggling through and he also sang a prayer from the Singer Tselatra Rainay O !
