Antananarivo Ankadifotsy St Philip and St James Parish celebrates its 130 anniversary

[Diocese of Antsiranana - Indian Ocean] The parish nof St Philip and St James of Ankadifotsy in the suburb of Antananarivo celebrated its 130th Anniversary of its foundation. The venerable Bery Rakotoarimanana surrounded by a multitude of zealous committee members renewed the Church for more effective mission. The special service took place on Sunday 4th May 2008 in a packed overflowing church.
4 Bishops of Madagascar were present at this serviceviz: Bishops Remi Rabenirina, Jean Paul of Toamasina, Todd of Tulear and Roger of Antsiranana. A team of the SOMA short term mission were also present. The Philamonic orchestra was also invited to raise the musical quality of the event. A parishioner who is a rising artist in the music arena in Madagascar, singer Melky interpreted her song : Antso. 2 CHR. 8:16
