Anglican Communion Office at the United Nations (ACOUN) - New York Office

Through the AUNO office in New York, the voice of the global Anglican Communion is heard at the United Nations. The office does this by engaging in the work of the United Nations in key areas of concern.
The Anglican Communion opened its AUNO office in New York in 1991. The first Anglican Observer at the UN was Archbishop Sir Paul Reeves (NZ). He was succeeded by Bishop James Ottley of Panama. In 1996 the late Bishop Paul Moore held the post for a very brief period, before by Bishop Herbert Donovan took over for about 2 years. From 2001, Archdeacon Taimalelagi Fagamalama Tuatagaloa-Leota occupied the seat. The last observer Hellen Wangusa took up the post in 2006.
