Brief history of Diocese:
The Diocese of North-Kivu started on the 23rd of February 1992. It has seven (7) Archdeaconries, forty four (44) parishes and seventy seven (77) priests. There are eleven (11) departments and the Diocesan secretariat. Our Diocese has been suffering from the impact of the two wars of liberation since 1996 and the various incursions by different militia. Our Christians live in a state of insecurity and poverty and these people need someone to come to their Aid.

Our only previous link is with Winchester UK which is a link with the whole Province.
Reason for wanting a Link:
Because it's a means of developing relationships and mutual partnership in mission, with a view of each member being enlightened.
What expectations you have of the Link?
- To establish companion relationship
- To share each other's problems and to get solutions to those problems.
- To establish prayer relationships and to strengthen spirituality.
- To strengthen relationships with other members of the Anglican Communion.
What part of the world you would like your Link to be?
We would like our link to be with: Africa - Europe - America and Asia
Describe the style and patterns of church life and ministry in your diocese.
- Our Diocese of North-Kivu in the D.R. Congo in its ministry has the following style and patterns of church life.
- The church life concentrates on evangelical work on Christianity through our church sub-parishes, parishes, archdeaconries and the Diocesan departments like those of Sunday school, youth, mother's union, church mission, Christian education and community development programmes.
- All this is done through Episcopal method of leadership in line with our motto which is found in John 8:12.
