Crisis in Nigeria

The city and state of Kaduna have been embroiled in communal violence since 21st February. Much of the infrastructure of the city of Kaduna has been destroyed; churches, mosques, homes and businesses have been burnt. 80,000 people have been made homeless, and hundreds have been killed.

The Church of the Province of Nigeria is a growing Church. It now has 58 dioceses and recently decided to create three Provinces within the Church. The new Provinces each has its own Archbishop. The new Provinces will be inaugurated on 3 October and the Archbishops will be presented.
