A study guide and a Questions & Answers document was published today to assist people exploring the Anglican Communion Covenant.
Five members have been elected to the Primates Standing Committee by the Primates at the recent Primates' Meeting in Dublin, Ireland. All have now confirmed they are willing to serve.

The Archbishop of the Province of the West Indies has announced that his Province has adopted the Anglican Communion Covenant. It is the third to do so officially, the others being the Anglican Church of Mexico and The Church of the Province of Myanmar.

The thoughts and prayers of many in the Anglican Communion are focused on Sudan at this time, as the people of Southern Sudan prepare for a referendum to decide their future. The referendum will take place on 9 January next, and all are invited to pray and to focus their concerns on that war-torn country at this time.
The former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the UK’s Department of International Development, Sally Keeble has been appointed as the Director of a new cross-Communion Alliance set up to connect and strengthen the development, relief and advocacy activities of the Anglican Communion.

The Secretary General writes: 'Many of you will have read the Archbishop of Canterbury's letter to the Anglican Communion issued at Pentecost last (28 May 2010). Part of that letter addresses the current and ongoing tensions in the Anglican Communion - these tensions cluster around the three moratoria referred to in the Windsor Report.
Senior bishops right across the Anglican Communion have spoken out against plans by a small Florida church to burn copies of the Quran. The leaders, many in countries with sizeable Muslim populations, spoke out against the burning, labelling the proposed act as “disastrous”, “ugly” and “deeply deplorable”.
