Arising from the heart of the Korean people, and in response to a resolution of the 13th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC), a "Worldwide Anglican Peace Conference" entitled Towards Peace in Korea (TOPIK), was held November 14-20 in Paju. Hosted by the Anglican Church of Korea, we came from all parts of the globe including: Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Australia, Canada, the Philippines, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Aotearoa New Zealand, the Solomon Islands, Palestine, Cyprus, Myanmar/Burma, Switzerland, and Hong Kong.

Peace initiatives and reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula will be the foci of a worldwide Anglican peace conference November 14-20 when more than 150 Anglican leaders, ecumenical guests and other participants will travel to South Korea for TOPIK (Towards Peace in Korea).

A resolve to promote peace, justice and real understanding between faiths was the main outcome of the meeting of the Council of Churches of East Asia (CCEA) which met in the Diocese of Grafton, New South Wales, Australia, in October.

(Provincial Newsletter) Kukki is the Korean word for self-denial offering. This year the Lent offerings monies raised throughout the Anglican Church in Korea will be used for the building of a shelter mission. The shelter will provide job information, counselling, meal services, an introduction to the Christian faith as well as a resting place for jobless people. Last year's offerings were used for emergency aid for starving children in North Korea.
