Transforming society: the bishop and social injustice
Almighty God,
who has entrusted this earth to humankind,
and through your son Jesus Christ
has called us to a heavenly citizenship,
grant to us, we humbly pray,
such shame and repentance for the disorder
and injustice, and cruelty which is among us,
that fleeing to you for pardon and grace,
we may evermore seek to establish that city
which has justice for its foundation and love for its law,
of which you are the architect and maker;
through the same Jesus Christ, your Son, our Saviour.
