Statement from the Spanish Episcopal Reformed Church (Anglican Communion)

Statement from the Spanish Episcopal Reformed Church (Anglican Communion) on the terrorist attacks in Madrid on March 11

For the appalling terrorist acts that occurred in Madrid this morning causing a great number of deaths and injuries, we wish to express our strongest disgust.

We would like to convey to the families of the victims our total support and we ask the Lord to be with them in their deep pain and sorrow at the loss of their loved ones.

We believe that life is the most precious gift from God, therefore we condemn any and all acts of violence no matter what the objective may be.

We ask all members of our Church to pray for the families of those who died and to join the rest of our country in any demonstration of unity against these unspeakable acts of terrorism.

Tomorrow at noon we will meet at the door of the Cathedral of El Redentor for silence in memory of those who died and to show our total abhorrence for this terrorism.
