14th September 2001
The Most Revd Frank T Griswold
Presiding Bishop and Primate
Episcopal Church of America
Your Grace,
The entire Anglican Community of Cameroon were shocked to learn about the barbaric attack carried out in the United States of America by the terrorists on September 11, 2001.
We join the rest of the world to condemn the attack, denouncing this inhuman action. Our condolences go to the citizens of the United States of America, to the Government for the great damage suffered: human and material; and particularly to the families who lost their dear ones that God be the Comforter of their hearts, praying to Almighty God to heal the injured physically, morally and spiritually.
May God Almighty give you the fortitude to bear the losses, and give to all American Leaders the wisdom and directions during this trying period. We are encouraging you to stand and pray for peace as we join you and other peace lovers in prayers.
"Do not let evil defeat you, instead, conquer evil with good." (Romans 12:21)
Yours in Christ,
The Rt Revd Jonathan Ruhumuliza
Anglican Bishop in Cameroon
