Archbishop of Canterbury's sorrow at Church massacre in Pakistan

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr George Carey, has spoken of his sorrow following the massacre of worshippers in a church in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

"I condemn unreservedly the killing of Christian worshippers along with a Muslim guard at Bahawalpur in Pakistan. Christian minorities in many parts of the world sometimes feel beleaguered and under pressure, but I call upon everyone to recognise that this is not a conflict between Christianity and Islam.

"I hope that those responsible for these attacks will be brought to justice. My prayers and thoughts are with the bereaved families."
