[Anglican Media Sydney] St Andrew’s cathedral in Sydney was the focus of a celebration of the leaderships gifts of children. The event, which took place on 1st April, included a church service led by children for children.
"We adults don’t like to acknowledge children as leaders," said head of Anglican Youthworks, the Revd Dr Lindsay Stobbart. "But a cathedral packed with kids is simply today’s leaders in action. Seeing children as leaders is important."
The cathedral was probably the first in the world to have a portable climbing wall and bouncy castles installed inside it. Other experiences on offer included Quasimodo tours of the bell tower, inflatable slides, gladiator duels, face painting, an Easter egg hunt, and a paper plane flying competition.
