(APS) The Yaounde Faculty of Protestant Theology has conferred honorary doctorates to the former Archbishop of Cape Town and now chairman of the South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the Most Revd Desmond Tutu and the Revd Jose Chipenda the former General Secretary of the All African Conference of Churches. The Church leaders were given the awards for their "highly appreciable and commendable work at the All African Conference of Churches". Archbishop Tutu is a former President of the Conference.
