Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori continued her visit to churches in Asia Feb. 13 – 19, touring ministries of the Nippon Sei Ko Kai (NSKK), the Anglican Church in Japan, before proceeding to Korea, where she preached on Feb. 19 at the Cathedral of Saints Mary and Nicholas in Seoul.

About 1000 people packed into Peterborough Cathedral today (29 June) for the annual St Peter’s Day celebration service, at which the new Suffragan Bishop of Brixworth was installed and a declaration of intent between the Peterborough and Seoul dioceses was signed.
Hearing the good news from Peking, China, where the six part talks is held in order to deal with North Korean issues the Primate Bishop of ACK, the Most Revd Francis Park , speaking from Tanzania, expressed his most hearty welcome in hearing the results of the meeting.
Peaceful reunification on the Korean peninsula - achieved diplomatically without the threat of a U.S. preemptive military strike - is a shared priority of the region's Anglican leaders and Presiding Bishop Frank Griswold, who conferred in Seoul October 23-26.
